Investigators from Southern Paranormal were invited to spend the night looking for spirits in the 14th century building owned by the Slough and Langley Observer in Datchet Road.

The team discovered the presence of a possible two spirits in the building. The first ghost encountered by the newspaper reporter and Southern Paranormal is described as a large man, dressed in rough clothes and who carries an aura of importance.

Female members of the paranormal investigate group agreed that the presence seemed unwilling to communicate with them. The man is believed to have lived around the 14th century and be called Egbert.

The second spirit was detected upstairs in the Datchet Road building. The female ghost is believed to be that of a lady called Elizabeth or Eliza from the 19th century. It was felt that she was looking out of the window or waiting for someone.

Elias Kupfermann of the Southern Paranormal investigators told the newspaper; “We later picked up that her name was either Elizabeth or Eliza with a possible surname of Brooks and that she was waiting for a gentleman called George.

“We felt that she looked after children and it was sensed that there was a rocking horse in the room.”

Although the Observer’s writer was unable to see either of the two spirits the spiritualist Nigel Townsend had visited the building the week before and stated he had made communication with a maid called Elizabeth. Townsend, however, believed this spirit to be much older and dated back to ‘pagan times’.

In Pure Spirit

What are your thoughts on a newspaper inviting paranormal investigators into the building? Could this be a journalist set up? Equally, is an old building dating back to the 14th century not quite likely to have a spirit or two within its walls?
