A tourist visiting the most ancient inhabited site in the United Kingdom may have captured the image of a ghost on camera. Acrhaelogists have been working in the prehistoric caves for over 200 years. A 40,000 year old jawbone from a Neanderthal Man was discovered by scholars in the cave in 1927 and is among the oldest evidence of Homo spaiens in northwest Europe. The cavern is recognised as a vitally important location in Britain's palaeolithic era. Howard said, "We were on a tour round the caves and I happened to snap a picture inside the Bear's Den chamber while waiting for the other members of the tour to arrive. This is not the first unusual sighting from Kent’s Cavern. James Hull, who works in the cave, told press; “There have been some strange and unexplained happenings in the caves down the years, as I’ve personally experienced on some of the paranormal investigation nights we have held here,”
