I appeared in many shows in both the Winter Gardens and the Alhambra Theatre, and did not feel that there were any spirits evil or otherwise in those theatres. They were old and interesting! I did play the ouija board at the Winter Gardens when I was doing a Panto and it scared me.

I worked in the building for carleton caterers as the lighting/stage designer for 8 years. I spent countless nights alone in the building, both in the carleton ( nightclub ) and in the cellars where we would store equipment and carry out repairs.
On no occasion have i heard anything that could not be easily explained nor seen anything remotely bizzare .
The building is in a sorry shape and to better a phrase has more holes than a tea-bag, being situated on the sea front on the corner of marine road and regent road, wind howles through the place causing noises at one end and bangs and groans due to movement of fixtures and fittings, this in turn continues down many of the long fire escapes which in turn create their own resonating frequencies. Due to the position of the building the wind can wrap around two sides causing sudden changes of pressure inside, this can easily be demonstrated with a smoke machine and warching the behaviour of the fog and its rapid movements through the building and seemingly bizzare patterns.
Above the disco is a large roof space containing access to the burnt remains of tne gods and former theatre rigging and home to a few hundred pidgeons. The space itself creates a vaccum that counters the ambient pressure in the disco below creating loud bangs and the suspended ceiling to breathe and lift . This same effect causes parts of the building to change temperature in seconds.
In my time there , neither myself or any colleagues fealt any wrong in the building or any uneasiness.
I am more lead to pressume the sudden paranormal status of the building is a last gasp attempt by the current owners to garner publicity for a quickly diminishing trade and i would happily challenge any ghost hunter to spend a night with me and show me something i cannot prove or explain.
