America reality TV star Heidi Montag (technically now Heidi Pratt since marrying Spencer Pratt) is in the news for replacing her manager with a psychic.
The thing is; her manager was husband Spencer Pratt. Despite the severing of business ties the couple are remaining together.
Heidi’s new manager is a bloke called Aiden Chase. He describes himself as an Intuitive Healer.
Here’s a vid.
People magazine has the exclusive inside on this.
She said;
“After the incredible experiences I have had healing my life and truly connecting to my dreams with healer intuitive Aiden Chase, I have officially asked him to become my manager,
“Having an intuitive psychic leading my team gives me an edge no one else has.”

Australian man burns witches house after “sex curse”

- Image via Wikipedia
In the Northern Territory, Australia, David Laurin has been sentenced to three years for burning a woman’s house down.
Laurin, 31, pleaded guilty to the charges as the court heard he believed the woman was a witch who had cursed his sex life.
In the NT Supreme Court, Chief Justice Dean Mildren heard how David Laurin met his girlfriend Kelly on the internet.
His relationship with Kelly went down hill and they split up in January 2009. Kelly’s since given birth to their child.
A psychiatrist told the NT court that Laurin had a “borderline personality disorder“. The psychiatrist also blamed the role of “internet wars games” played in Laurin’s life; suggesting they helped form his identity.

Do you think Laurin got what he deserved? Is the psychiatrist did the right thing by pointing a finger at the internet?

Boots do digital recycling – club card points for your old mobile

- Image by Bobasonic via Flickr
It seems that you can’t make it through a TV program these days without encountering an advert from a company trying to buy your mobile phone.
I’m sure all of these companies are trustworthy. However, when I stumbles across Books Recycling my ears perked up.
Boots don’t pay you cash. Instead you get given club card points – this is significant as Boots already has one of the most generous club cards out there on the high street.
- A Nokia N73 is worth 5,166 points
- A 4th gen Apple iPod is worth 583 points
- A BlackBerry Pearl 8100 is worth 1,995 points
- A Canon PowerShot A1000 IS gets you 1,666 points
In Pure Spirit
What do you think? Is this a better deal than the cash converters?
Do you feel more comfortable Boots offering this service than the other newer companies?

Catch: Slow motion jumping dogs
Ever seen an advert that’s just so good you had to share it? No? Ads of that level of quality are out there.
Here’s an ad for Pedigree called “Catch”. The premise is simple; slow-mo video footage of cute dogs jumping to catch a chunk of tasty Pedigree.
In Pure Spirit
What do you think? Is the advert any good? What the name “Pedigree”? Given that some TV channels are now refusing to show dog shows on the premise that it’s cruel to breed pedigrees could the very name of the product be in danger?

Cat temple discovered in Egypt
A temple dating back more than 2,000 years has been discovered by Egyptian archaeologists. It is thought that the Ptolemaic-era temple was once dedicated to the cat goddess Bastet.
It is suggested that the temple was under the care of Berenice, wife of 3rd century BC ruler Ptolemy III. The temple is in the very heart of the city of Alexandria; the city once at the centre of the dynasty created by Alexander the Great in the 4th century BC. Modern day Alexandria is built directly on top of the historic Alexandria.
Bastet – also know as Ubasti – is an old solar and war goddess. Her followers began to fade from power as the lioness war deity Sekhmet rose to prominence. Her name means “devourer” but she was often seen as a fierce protector of Lower Egypt.
In Pure Spirit
Bastet has enjoyed a modern day boom in interest – do you think this is just because she’s seen as a ‘cat goddess’ or do you think there’s something else about Bastet that keeps her popular today?

New UFO series for the UK
There’s a bit of a viral buzz building behind a video called “UFO sighting UK”.
It’s too good to be true; it features a farmer who claims he sees UFOs almost every day, then sure enough there’s UFO caught on camera as plain as day and the video ends with the friendly farmer exploring a crop circle before running in fear.
You can see it here:
Right at the end of the video there’s a suggestion that something starts on C4 (Channel 4?) at 8PM on 24th January 2010. I think that’s when Big Brother’s on.
In Pure Spirit
What do you think this video is about? It’s an advert for something – but what?

King of all Witches bids to become a member of the British Parliament
Magus Lynius Shadee has announced his plans to open an occult centre in Cambridge have been paused while he bids to become elected as the city’s MP.
He told press;
“I have withheld the opening of my occult centres and am focusing on the general election,”
“I shall hope to stand as an independent. My manifesto will be very forward, and if accepted, will change many directions for the better – for the human race.”
Shadee, who calls himself the King of all Witches, made the news in October 2009 when he claimed to have summoned a demon to haunt the Church of Our Lady and the English Martyrs on Hills Road in Cambridge.
It is said he conducted the ritual in the Catholic Church and told press that he did not speak to the priest but conducted an incantation to bring an ‘element’ to dwell within the building.
He described the element as a hunter, something that would attach itself to an individual, drive them insane, make them depressed or end their physical life. Shadee told press that he hoped to convert the local priest.
Police, at the time, said a potential Public Order crime could have been committed and would investigate.
In Pure Spirit
What do you make of Magus Lynius Shadee and his claims? His he doing well – trying to set up an occult centre and run for politics? Or does he cast a shadow over alternative religions with high publicity demon summoning claims in the heart of Catholic churches?
